Even the Devil himself could not catch this old fox. Francis Marion was a military officer who served in the American Revolutionary War. Considered on of the fathers of modern guerrilla warfare and is credited with the lineage of the United States Army Rangers and other Special Forces. Nicknamed The Swamp Fox because of his craftiness in eluding pursuers.
